Job Title: Systems Admin L3Location: St. Louis, MOClearance: TS SCI clearance required Job DescriptionThe System Administrator III provides advanced engineering, system integration, and high-level administrative support for secure Closed Area environments. Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade infrastructure—spanning Windows, Linux, virtualization clusters, security controls, and automation pipelines. This role requires independent technical leadership and deep subject matter expertise. Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, develop, and implement infrastructure tools and scalable technical solutionsLead development of new processes to improve operational and project efficiencyMaintain update services for applications and infrastructureRecommend hardware architecture and enterprise software toolsManage and maintain multiple license server implementationsCreate, maintain, and support PKI infrastructure; advise customers on PKI-related solutionsBuild and sustain customer relationshipsImplement and uphold customer standards and industry best practicesFacilitate problem recreation and deep-level failure analysisPresent solutions to complex technical issues with consideration for business and operational impactsParticipate in team meetings, provide technical insights, and support consensus buildingMaintain rapid escalation channels for critical issuesMaintain hardware infrastructure in secured lab environmentsInstall and support complex applications requiring advanced integrationCreate, follow, and review process documentation for accuracy and completenessTroubleshoot complex application, system, and integration issuesCreate and maintain Active Directory and VPN/Remote Access accountsDeploy, maintain, and troubleshoot mandated secure Group Policy solutionsInterface with customers, vendors, and SMEs for advanced issue resolutionPerform system backups and restores Minimum QualificationsActive DoD TS SCI clearance required CompTIA Security+ CE required Minimum 5 years of experience integrating, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise technologies Must support both Windows and Linux enterprise environments, including:Extensive Windows Server administration (Server 2019+/Windows 10+)Extensive RHEL 8+ (RHEL 9 a plus) VMware ESXi 7.0+ cluster-level engineering experience required, including:Cluster configurationvCenter managementResource poolsHigh-availability and DRS policiesPerformance tuning and capacity planning Advanced experience with:Active Directory administrationGPO deployment and troubleshootingWSUS and SCCM for patching and compliance Experience administering:PKI infrastructureLicense server implementations Ability to lead root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical issuesAbility to develop new processes and documentationStrong customer-facing communication abilitiesHighly self-directed and effective in dynamic environmentsAutomation required Scripting proficiency required in:PowerShellBashPython (preferred) Preferred QualificationsExperience with:HP AND Dell hardwareSCAP/STIG compliance and EvaluateSTIGServer-based antivirus and data-at-rest encryptionNessus vulnerability scanningSplunkSAN administrationNetworkerTechnical documentation writing/editingAnsible, DevOps pipelines, SCCM (advanced usage)Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
