Job Description

  • Create Customized Treatment Strategies: Assess patient needs and design tailored therapy plans to help them reach their functional milestones
  • Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Employ established practices to improve patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living tasks
  • Engage with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely alongside OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to guarantee comprehensive, holistic patient care
  • Guide Patients and Caregivers: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic methods to encourage ongoing progress outside the clinical setting
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Keep track of clinical outcomes and modify treatment approaches as necessary, ensuring patients are on a successful path

Education

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Encouragement of continuing education or graduate-level certifications

Certifications

  • Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
  • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a must
