**Job Title:** Forklift Operator**Company:** Kelly Services**Location:** Kirkwood, NY**Pay Rate:** $19 per hour**Type:** Contract Position**Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm**Overview**Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to efficiently transportproduct and materials within our manufacturing facility in Kirkwood, NY. The ideal candidate will operate both sit-down and electric stand-up forklifts and must be comfortable with frequent two-person lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout the day. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are key for this role.**Responsibilities**+ Safely transport products, raw materials, and other items within the facility+ Interpret shipping schedules, stage doors, and sort materials by customer specifications+ Load/unload shipments, stage for shipping, and consolidate orders+ Complete pre-shift forklift inspections; refuel as needed+ Follow all safety procedures and forklift operating regulations+ Accurately pull and record items based on work orders+ Supervise and direct warehouse attendants and operators as needed+ Maintain a safe and clean work environment; replace pallets/runners as necessary+ Ability to work overtime and extended hours as business requires+ Handle additional tasks or duties as assigned**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**+ Proven forklift operation experience (sit-down and electric stand-up)+ Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs frequently (team lifting required)+ Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail+ Ability to mount and dismount forklift repeatedly during shifts+ Familiarity with shipping documentation and safety protocols+ Team-oriented, accountable, and self-motivated+ (Preferred) Basic computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook+ Consistent attendance and punctuality required**Qualifications**+ High School Diploma or equivalent (may be waived with experience)+ 2-3 years' forklift operation experience, preferably in manufacturing+ Must be able to read and write English+ Demonstrated teamwork and commitment to safety**Perks & Benefits**+ Stable weekday schedule and competitive hourly wage+ Opportunities for overtime+ Supportive, safety-focused work cultureAs part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
