You will partner closely with engineering, product, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership to deliver complex initiatives on time, within scope, and to high quality standards. This is a hybrid position based Denver, CO requiring you to be in the office as needed depending on program demands.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Own and drive the full lifecycle of a complex, multi-workstream program, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with commercial and technical objectives.
  • Define program vision, strategy, scope, and success metrics in partnership with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop, manage, and govern an integrated master schedule, ensuring dependencies, critical paths, and cross-team impacts are visible and well-controlled.
  • Lead resource planning and alignment across functions, escalating capacity or prioritization gaps to leadership as needed.
  • Ensure disciplined program execution through structured reporting, milestone tracking, baseline management, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Prepare to take ownership of additional programs as the portfolio grows.

Risk, Change & Governance

  • Identify, assess, and manage program-level risks and opportunities, ensuring mitigation plans are actionable and owned.
  • Lead formal change control processes to evaluate and integrate technical, schedule, and cost impacts across the program.
  • Maintain clear documentation of risks, dependencies, decisions, and assumptions, ensuring alignment with internal governance and customer expectations.
  • Drive compliance with internal program management frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Serve as the primary program interface for customers, suppliers, and executive stakeholders, representing program status, decisions, and risks.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment across engineering, supply chain, product, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Lead customer reviews, executive briefings, and steering committees, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Build trusted relationships by demonstrating accountability, clarity, and responsiveness.

Strategic Contribution & Continuous Improvement

  • Influence strategic planning and portfolio decisions based on program insights, risks, and market/technical considerations.
  • Mentor and support project managers and junior program staff, contributing to the development of the PMO function.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen delivery capability, communication flow, and program governance maturity.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–12+ years of program or project management experience, with several years leading complex, cross-functional technology or engineering programs.
  • Proven success managing programs with significant technical complexity, multi-disciplinary teams, and external customers.
  • Expertise in program governance, master scheduling, risk management, and structured change control.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority and drive clarity in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with experience engaging customers and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in program management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or similar).
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments strongly preferred; aerospace, Satcom, or hardware/software systems experience is a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent certifications are beneficial but not required.
