GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Teach Social Sciences courses in FSU's programs in Graduate Studies and Continuing Education.

Graduate and Continuing Education instructional sessions are Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Schedules for Fall are typically prepared in March. Schedules for Winter and Spring are typically prepared in September. Schedules for Summer are typically prepared in January. Requirements:
  • Education, activities, and/or experience appropriate to the field of instruction. Please see the DGCE Agreement for additional information.
  • Terminal degree strongly preferred.
Additional Information:
This posting is for potential Adjunct instruction positions in Graduate and Continuing Education Programs in Social Sciences. Adjunct positions are part-time and non-benefited. Rates for instruction are determined according to assigned faculty rank, course level, course type, and contractually-bargained contact hour equivalencies. Current calculations are based on a per-contact-hour rate range of $1,657.86-$2,047.10. A typical lecture course is 4 contact hours.
In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the MA Board of Higher Education and the MA State College Association Division of Graduate and Continuing Education ("DGCE Agreement"), Framingham State University maintains a "Continuing Education Pool" of individuals eligible for appointment to teach in Programs of Graduate and Continuing Education at the university. An individual who is not already a member of the pool may apply for inclusion in the "Continuing Education Pool" by submitting an application to this posting. Thereafter the Dean or their designee may decide to include the name of the applicant in the "Continuing Education Pool". Please note that an application to this posting does not guarantee inclusion in the "Continuing Education Pool".
Framingham State University conducts criminal history and sexual offender record checks on recommended finalists prior to final employment for all positions.
