Neonatologist Position at Tanner Medical Center

Pediatrix Medical Group, in partnership with Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist to join a highly collaborative physician-led NICU team within a nationally recognized health system offering modern facilities, strong subspecialty support, and a flexible home-call schedule in a vibrant community just outside Atlanta.

Job Description:

  • Provide neonatology coverage for a Level-III NICU with 10 beds and approximately 1,000 annual births
  • Deliver care for newborns in a 20-bed newborn unit with daily support from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
  • Participate in a 3-physician neonatal staffing model ensuring collaborative clinical coverage
  • Perform daily rounding in NICU and newborn settings
  • Provide clinical oversight and management of critically ill and premature infants
  • Support admissions, stabilization, and ongoing management of neonatal patients
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, NNPs, and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Participate in home-based call coverage rotation for NICU responsibilities
  • Work within a flexible schedule structure supported by daytime APP/NNP coverage
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care in a renovated, state-of-the-art facility

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required. Not accepting Locums candidates Not accepting visa candidates
