A comprehensive multi-services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join one of their growing facilities in Staten Island.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting:Article 16 Clinic
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours:9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm
- Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
- EMR: PrecisionCare
Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will:- Planand implementprescribed OT treatment programs for persons receiving services to maintain and/or restore function secondary to acute or chronic disability
- Conductannual screens
- Make assessments
- Performdaily documentation
- Handle other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy school
- NYS Occupational Therapist (OT)license
- Knowledge in the use of mobility devices and therapeutic exercises
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Experience with wheelchair assessment
- Experience working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
