Details Work in the Operating Room (Perioperative unit) of a 343-bed acute care hospital Broad surgical case mix including abdominal, cardiovascular, colorectal, dental, ENT, GI, gynecological, joint replacement, maternal-fetal, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedic/sports medicine, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive, robotics, spine, thoracic, trauma, urological, and vascular procedures 1:1 patient ratio Charting via Meditech Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Sunday/Monday/Tuesday Set schedule with no floating required Hospital-laundered scrubs provided by the department Requirements Active KS or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent OR/perioperative nursing experience required Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Surgical/procedural experience preferred but not required Additional Information The facility is Johnson County's only American College of Surgeons-verified trauma center, equipped to treat life-threatening injuries 24/7 The hospital holds numerous accreditations including JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval, Primary Stroke Center Advanced Certification, Chest Pain accreditation, Blue Distinction Center designations for knee/hip replacement and maternity care, NAPBC accreditation, and Commission on Cancer Accreditation Collaborative, team-based culture with staff ranging from new graduates to 30 year veterans Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible American Traveler Job ID P-708928.
