- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or MSN preferred)
- Active RN license in New Jersey
- BLS certification required upon hire
- ACLS and Critical Care Course required within 12 months of hire
- Dysrhythmia course required within 6 months
- National certification in cardiac or critical care nursing preferred
- 8 hours of annual stroke education required
- Must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 3 years if not already completed
- Deliver specialized care to cardiac step-down patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions
- Perform detailed assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, and support recovery plans
- Administer medications, therapies, and interventions with precision and care
- Document all patient care accurately in the electronic health record
- Work closely with cardiologists, care coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Highly competitive hourly rate + shift differential
