Active RN license in New Jersey
BLS certification required upon hire
ACLS and Critical Care Course required within 12 months of hire
Dysrhythmia course required within 6 months
National certification in cardiac or critical care nursing preferred
8 hours of annual stroke education required
Must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 3 years if not already completed
What You Will Do:
Deliver specialized care to cardiac step-down patients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions
Perform detailed assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, and support recovery plans
Administer medications, therapies, and interventions with precision and care
Document all patient care accurately in the electronic health record
Work closely with cardiologists, care coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
