Cooperate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
Provide education and resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of the clinical environment.
Occasionally participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout treatment.
Maintain prompt and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory within the first 30 days of employment.
