- Participate in patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow individualized care plans.
- Deliver direct nursing care tailored to the age-specific physiological needs of pediatric patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient care records.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to life-threatening situations.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and monitor quality of care.
- Support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within the scope of medical care.
- Contribute to cost containment efforts and ensure accurate billing for services.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships with healthcare team members and patients.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in a Compact state or the relevant state.
- No prior work experience required; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients.
- Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to communicate effectively through speech and hearing.
- Visual acuity sufficient for patient observation.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
