Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit (SDU) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes Progressive Care and Telemetry-level acuity, with varying acuity levels across the unit
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, with flex to 1:5 in emergency situations
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends required
- Blocked schedules may be considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)
- Charting performed in Cerner EMR
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Requirements
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience and 2 years of Stepdown experience required
- Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry strip reading required
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs required
- Holiday RTO requests are limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
