Job Title: Director of Construction Management (Construction Project Manager)Work Location: Onsite, Overland Park Start Date: ASAPRESPONSIBILITIESProject Management:
Ensure all work is properly contracted or subcontracted.
Obtain permits and maintain compliance with building codes, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
Lead cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.
Manage 3-5 projects simultaneously from concept through punch list.
Spend significant time in the field verifying progress, safety, and quality.
Communicate consistently with tenants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and ownership.
Track and report budgets and forecasts to management.
Oversee and direct subcontractors on?site.
Perform submittal review, quality control, scheduling, and project closeout.
Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards.
Project Administration:
Ensure subcontractor agreements are complete and accurate.
Approve or reject invoices as needed, with appropriate team communication.
Record, track, and maintain all project costs in budget templates.
Manage and document change orders and project delays through signed forms and updated budgets.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience.
Strong background in estimating and field management.
Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent).
Experience with estimating and take?off software.
Bluebeam and MS Project preferred.
Outstanding communication skills.
Must have real, in?the?field construction leadership experience and strong subcontractor relationships.
