Reports to: Logistics Manager In this Role You Will:
Responsible for Leading Receiving & Shipping Green Coffee Throughout the New Orleans Supply Chain
Analyze & Prioritize the Green Coffee Transportation from the Wharves, Railroad, and Warehouses to Deliver to Silo
Lead the Process of Intaking Green Coffee at Local Warehouses and Various Yard Locations
Owner for Key Inbound Logistics Systems and Accountable for Their Results. Identify Root Cause & Countermeasures for Any Gaps in Results
Track KPI's to Monitor the Performance of 3rd Party Service Companies, Drayage Carriers, and Warehouses and Intervene as Necessary to Ensure Green Coffee Availability for Blending Needs
Manage WMS System for Local Drayage Carriers to Deliver Green Coffee Within the New Orleans Supply Chain
Ability to Independently Perform the Customs Role and Troubleshoot Issues as they arise
Development & Implement Cost Reduction and Work Process Improvement Projects Using Operations Excellence Tools and Systems
Improve and Standardize Systems to Deliver Strong Customer Service Results That Meet or Exceed Business Targets (Supplier 14-Day Claim, Demurrage/Detention, and Damage Claim)
Own and Manage the Damage Claim Process for FOB Green Coffee Purchases. Provide Weight Certificates to Corporate Green Coffee
Work Collaboratively with 3rd Party Service Company, Corporate Green Coffee Planning, Corporate Transportation, QA, Manufacturing, and Purchasing
What We are Looking For: Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management OR 3 years of supply chain management experience
Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and time management behaviors
Demonstrated capability in analyzing data/situations, problem solving and attention to detail
Collaborative approach: This role must effectively interface with multiple internal functions as well as external suppliers & transportation agents
Communication: Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite and Supply planning system
Demonstrated results in driving continuous improvement in cost, quality, and business responsiveness
Demonstration of a "flow to the work" mentality to meet the changing business needs
Customer service focus
Self-starter
