An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 9-week contract assignment in the Macon, GA area, located approximately an hour south of Atlanta. This role involves delivering comprehensive pharmacy services in a dynamic environment. Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Possible weekend rotation

• Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately and responsibly
• Monitoring patient medication compliance and identifying over-usage patterns
• Ensuring legal compliance in medication supply and verifying suitability of prescribed medicines
• Maintaining confidential and precise patient records and pharmacy files
• Advising patients on medication use, potential reactions, and answering related questions
• Offering consultations on prescription and non-prescription drugs, focusing on storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Providing patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
• Educating patients on the use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
• Compounding medications for internal or external use and preparing sterile solutions according to proper procedures
• Supervising pharmacy staff members including technicians and clerks
• Managing pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory appropriately
• Identifying drug-related problems and collaborating effectively with healthcare practitioners including physicians and nurses

• Pharmacy license for the state of Georgia is required and must be in-hand
• Open to retail pharmacists; training will be provided as needed
• Previous experience in PV1 and PV2 settings is preferred but not mandatory
