Media Relations Analyst

Savvee Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Analyst to support our federal client in Washington, D.C. in a hybrid environment. The ideal candidate is a communications professional with a strong background in media tracking, public affairs, and press engagement. As a key player on the team, you will manage the flow of media inquiries, monitor press coverage, and produce high-impact communications materials.

Essential Functions:

  • Tracking, managing, and logging incoming and outgoing media inquiries.
  • Providing regular metrics and analytics on media relations functions and press coverage.
  • Compiling and distributing press clips on a daily basis.
  • Drafting press releases, public affairs guidance, and other media relations products.
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency across platforms.
  • Supporting crisis communication efforts by preparing rapid response materials.
  • Assisting in planning and executing press events, briefings, congressional hearings, and media engagements.
  • Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.

Required Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, media, or a related field WITH four or more years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master's degree in business, communications, media or a related field WITH two or more years of relevant experience

Minimum Experience and Skills Required:

  • Five or more years of experience
  • Experience and understanding of media relations and associated analytics
  • Experience in industry standard media metrics software (i.e. Muck Rack)
  • Must have the ability to obtain the client's Public Trust clearance
  • Proven familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and responsible use of AI-assisted tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A highly motivated self-starter
  • Must be motivated and have excellent customer service skills
