Focus Interpreting is seeking a skilled English to Burmese Interpreter to join our team in San Bernardino.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for English and Burmese speakers during meetings, medical appointments, legal proceedings, and other interactions.
• Ensure clarity and accuracy of interpretation by adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout all interpretation sessions.
• Prepare for assignments by researching and familiarizing yourself with relevant terminology specific to the context.
• Continuously enhance your language skills and subject knowledge to provide the best service to clients.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Burmese, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Solid understanding of cultural context and nuances to facilitate effective communication.
• Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and accurate under pressure.
• Prior experience interpreting in medical or legal settings is preferred but not mandatory.
