Support Coordinator

The purpose of this position is to provide support to students who need accommodations or support through the Middle School SWIS (School within a School) program or the Academic Achievement Center in the High Schools. There will also be additional responsibilities to monitor students' use of computers and on-line learning. This position will require excellent communication, organization and ability to work with others cooperatively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years of college coursework or passing competency test within first month of employment (district will support)

DUTIES:

• Structure the daily operation of the program
• Organize multiple support opportunities for multiple students
• Facilitate cooperation between teachers, students and parents
• Complete specific projects as assigned
• Assist students with testing accommodations required by 504 and customized learning plans
• Supervise and monitor students
• Manage and help students utilize on-line learning
• Support students in their academic responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned by administrators

LOCATION: East Middle School

SALARY: $14.19 per hour, 7.5 hours a day, 180 days per year
