Core Responsibilities
- Design Vision & Leadership: Architect the creative direction for complex interior environments, developing compelling narratives through mood boards, space plans, and immersive presentations.
- Project Stewardship: Steer the full project lifecycle, ensuring design intent is meticulously maintained from initial conceptualization through construction administration and final installation.
- Technical Excellence: Produce and oversee the development of high-fidelity construction documents, detailed drawings, and technical specifications that meet rigorous industry standards.
- FF&E Strategy: Lead the selection, curation, and procurement of high-end Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment, leveraging a deep knowledge of materials and global vendor networks.
- Collaborative Integration: Sync seamlessly with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure interior systems are perfectly integrated within the broader architectural shell.
- Client Ambassadorship: Serve as the primary technical and creative point of contact for stakeholders, presenting complex design solutions with clarity and conviction.
- Operational Oversight: Manage multi-project workflows, timelines, and budgets, ensuring the firm's standards for profitability and quality are consistently exceeded.
- Talent Development: Act as a mentor to junior design staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical refinement within the studio.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: 815 years of progressive professional experience within a design or architectural firm.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced command of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; professional proficiency in Revit is required for project delivery.
- Technical Acumen: Deep knowledge of building codes, materials, and the construction process as it relates to large-scale commercial or institutional projects.
- Portfolio: A robust body of work demonstrating successfully completed projects from concept to close-out.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensure: NCIDQ Certification is highly preferred.
- Market Insight: Proven experience and a strong professional network within the Atlanta AEC market.
- Sector Expertise: Specific background in high-end senior living, healthcare, or hospitality design.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing small teams and complex project budgets.
