Neurology Program Director Opportunity

This regional medical center in Central Florida in partnership with University of Central Florida is searching for an exceptional Board Certified (BC) Neurologist, ideally with subspecialty training in epilepsy, neuromuscular, or movement disorder,to join as Program Director of our neurology residency program.

Qualified Candidates:

  • American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology certification required
  • All neurology subspecialties welcome to apply; training in epilepsy, neuromuscular, or movement disorder are a bonus
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior Program Director or Associate Program Director experience in an ACGME-approved residency or fellowship program
  • A significant amount of documented scholarly activity on their CV from the past 5 academic years (so 2018 to present). Scholarly activity consists of research, publications, book chapters, presentations, etc.
  • Current and ongoing clinical activity (basically be currently in practice) relevant to the specialty
  • Documented history of involvement in teaching and academics in medicine
  • Devote a minimum of 35% FTE (1.75 days/week) of non-clinical time to the administration of the program
  • Neurology faculty to resident ratio of 1:1
  • Will be responsible for administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action; supervision of residents; and resident education in the context of patient care
