Waldorf University has an immediate full-time Housekeeper position available for general housekeeping duties in both academic buildings and/or residence halls. Hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday with rotational Saturdays in residence halls (1.5-3hrs). This is a 12month, benefit eligible position. Those interested in part-time, may also apply. Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Benefits: This is a full-time, non-exempt and benefit eligible position. Waldorf University offers a comprehensive benefit package with including: health, life, LTD, 401k match and tuition benefits for employees and their families, in addition to options in dental, vision, supplemental and voluntary life insurances and FLEX spending plan. Paid time off includes Vacation, Personal, Holidays including additional time at around Thanksgiving and Christmas, a floating holiday and a birthday holiday. Part-time employees are eligible to participate in 401k match once eligible along with possible paid time off depending on hours worked/scheduled. - Daily checks and cleaning of facility, restrooms, classrooms, offices and public spaces including stairwells, hallways, lounges, laundry areas...
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Cleaning, disinfecting and stocking bathrooms
- Removal of garbage
- General housekeeping and laundry
- Adherence to safety precautions
- Some cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- HS Diploma preferred, but not required
- Position is very physical requiring bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs & step ladders, walking, and will be in contact with chemicals used for cleaning. Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs to waist level or a shared weight of 100lbs.
- Able to respectively and clearly communicate concerns and needs of area of responsibility
- Self-motivated and focused
- Able to take direction; however work independently
- Must be dependable with regular attendance and be flexible to take assignments in other areas when needed
