Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring cardiac ICU and pediatric experience with night shift availability.
Details
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a children's hospital
- Patient population includes post-op open heart surgeries, single ventricle defects, complex cardiac anatomy/physiology, heart transplant, and heart failure
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Unit has 32 beds with an average daily census of 21
- Specialized procedures include invasive cardiac monitoring (CVP, ART, RA, etc.), ECMO, CRRT, vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NE or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Cardiac ICU experience required
- Pediatric ICU experience required
- ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience strongly preferred
Additional Information
- Candidates with primary PICU experience who floated to a Cardiac ICU should clearly document in their work history how frequently they floated to the cardiac unit
