Cost Accounting Manager
Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for projects? This is a unique opportunity to lead project and job costing, ensure precise financial reporting, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize costs across multiple projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and GAAP
- Proven experience with job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project forecasting
- Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista ERP or similar construction-specific software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail
- Independent and collaborative work style in a team setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA)
- Experience supporting internal and external audits
- Familiarity with change orders and subcontract documentation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Construction industry expertise, especially in project costing and WIP management
