What You'll Do
- Welcome patients with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
- Answer multi-line phones and schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Verify dental insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Register new patients and accurately maintain electronic patient records.
- Collect copays and outstanding balances while explaining insurance coverage and treatment costs.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure providers stay on schedule.
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of recent dental front desk, patient services, or dental scheduling experience.
- Working knowledge of dental terminology and dental practice management software.
- Experience with insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, and payment collection.
- Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic scheduling systems.
- Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
