Supports the Skills Labs on a full time basis to meet theessential functions of lab instruction, competency testing, and lab skillspractice. Regularly completes assignments in clinical facilities as directed. Additionally,this role collaborates with the Nursing Skills Lab Director and Nursing Facultyin meeting the division's needs related to program curriculum, programevaluation, admission, and progression. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and monitors assigned nursing skills activities for students
Performs circulating and skills testing to assist in the psychomotor portion of the curriculum
Performs final skills testing as a determination of student progression in the program at all campus locations
Communicates with faculty verbally and in writing to provide timely feedback regarding students' progress in the skills lab
Performs remediation of students when skill performance is unsatisfactory or is in need of further support
Communicates follow up to Director and faculty verbally and in writing
Assists in curriculum implementation according to the standards of the Accreditation Commission for Education and Nursing, National League for Nursing, and the Ohio Board of Nursing
Collaborates with the Director of the Nursing Skills lab to ensure student assessment and outcomes are being met
Assists in the instruction of students in the nursing skills lab and the clinical setting
Provides input to the Director in development and enforcement of lab policies and procedures
Develops and maintains written and or visual materials needed for lab classes
Insures that test-out materials are current with faculty guidelines and program curriculum
Provides lab materials to all sites to assure consistency among labs
Attends course group meetings as necessary to align skills lab curriculum
Anticipates and meets all student needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction
Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES
Possess access to reliable vehicle and ability travel to various lab sites
Ability to work a combination of day/evening/weekend schedules as needed
Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently
Possess working knowledge of Nursing concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; including strong writing, revising, editing and proofreading skills
Possess excellent customer service and follow-though skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience instructing and facilitating nursing students

Work will require movement of equipment and mannequins as necessary for lab maintenance
Work also requires walking and standing in conjunction with assignments in clinical facilities
Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Work is partially performed in an environment where employees are frequently exposed to contagious or infectious diseases
Target Starting Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000The final offer for the successful candidateis targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment ofinternal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate'squalifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred jobrequirement(s).
