Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

The facility is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join its expanding Cardiology team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity. The role focuses on delivering high-quality cardiovascular care through patient evaluation, chronic disease management, and collaboration with cardiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessments including patient history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and relevant laboratory studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness and patient response.
• Educate patients and families on heart health, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and disease prevention.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and cardiology care coordination programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certification: Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, ANP, or AGACNP) through ANCC or AANP.
• Licensure: Active or eligible Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
• DEA registration (or eligibility).
• Experience: Prior experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care preferred.
• New graduates with strong clinical training and cardiology exposure are encouraged to apply.
