Description

The senior accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the general ledger. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements and reports. Support external audits and reviews.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Stay updated on accounting standards and industry best practices.
  • Assist in Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • MBA Preferred
  • 3+ years of Senior Accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Ability to train and collaborate with team members
  • Independent and self-starter
  • Private Equity Experience Preferred
  • Healthcare experience Preferred
