Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Opportunity

Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our growing orthopedic surgery team. This is an exceptional opportunity to provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries, including complex fractures, pelvic and acetabular injuries, periarticular fractures, non-unions, malunions, and polytrauma-related orthopedic conditions. The position offers access to advanced surgical technology, dedicated trauma operating room time, and a robust referral network.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and surgical management of orthopedic trauma patients.
• Participate in trauma call coverage and emergency orthopedic services.
• Perform operative and non-operative treatment of acute musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor advanced practice providers, residents, and medical students, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
• Contribute to departmental growth through clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and community engagement.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Experience in managing complex trauma cases.
• Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Compensation & Benefits:

In compliance with New Jersey pay transparency laws, all non-operative sports medicine physician roles include a posted minimum base salary. The minimum base salary for this position is $580,000.00 per year, plus the opportunity to earn an annual productivity bonus. Final compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and prevailing market factors.
