Senior Strategist, Market Access
The Senior Strategist, Market Access Strategy plays a key role in developing insight-driven payer strategies and translating them into high-impact value communications that support access, coverage, and adoption. The Senior Strategist is a shared services role across multiple teams and brands, responsible for developing strategies and initiatives that optimize market access and reimbursement across the healthcare ecosystem. This individual partners cross-functionally with account, medical, and creative teams to deliver strategic recommendations for communication resources across the product lifecycle from pre-launch through loss of exclusivity.
Essential duties and responsibilities include developing and shaping market access strategies, translating clinical, economic, customer, and market insights into clear, compelling payer communications, supporting strategic planning across key stakeholders, leading portions of client engagements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring market dynamics, participating in primary market research, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and performing all other duties as assigned.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities include 58+ years of experience in market access agency, strong understanding of US payer landscape, reimbursement, and access dynamics, ability to synthesize complex clinical and economic data into actionable insights and clear messaging, proven experience developing strategic deliverables and client-facing materials, excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, ability to manage major clients and brands, strong writing, communications, and presentation skills, ability to think strategically and tactically, execute on projects, multitask, and meet challenging deadlines, highly self-motivated and self-driven independent thinker, and ability to present information to groups via live presentation or teleconference.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or more advanced degree in a science-, business-, or healthcare-related discipline, developed network of contacts/relationships with market access and healthcare-related KOLs and executives, advanced level of proficiencies in PowerPoint and Excel, past experience sourcing pharmacy policies, medical policies, formulary data, and prescription/performance data sources.
