Florida Keys – NP / PA Emergency Medicine Opening
Escape to paradise with an exciting Emergency Medicine NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician Assistant) position in the stunning Florida Keys. This unique role covers two small emergency departments in the Florida Keys, offering competitive pay, a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to live where others vacation.
Why This Opportunity?
- Competitive Pay: $85/hour as a 1099 independent contractor
- Beautiful Locations: Work at two small, modern EDs in Marathon (11 beds, 10K visits) and Tavernier (9 beds, 12K visits)
- Flexible Scheduling: Shifts are 12p–8p with coverage across both facilities
- Supportive Teams: Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients in emergency settings
- Provide high-quality care while managing patient flow effectively
- Work across two hospitals using Cerner EMR
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years of recent Emergency medicine experience in a hospital based ER
- Education: NP or PA program graduate with an active Florida license (or eligibility)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS are required
