Description
DevOps Engineer
Looking for a DevOps engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Implement and improve monitoring of application and alerting.
- Ability to build and deploy services in Kubernetes across environments.
- Execute and automate the daily capture, monitoring and controlling of operational metrics.
- Maintain SOE (Standard Operating Environment) and SRE compliance. Work with the team that support applications 24 7 365 - requires working on certain weekends and holidays.
- Work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with geographically distributed teams.
- Work closely with various teams to drive efficiencies, including deployments, issue tracking and debugging issues.
- Make continuous process improvements through performance enhancements, automation of repeated manual processes using Jenkins pipelines. Monitoring the server and application health check frequently.
- Troubleshoot production issues and work closely with various teams to resolve the issues, ensuring stability and performance of the production environment.
- Analyzes customer operations to understand requirements and determine opportunities to streamline processes.
- Develops and maintains systems documentation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or other related field. Ability to manage multiple assignments. Superior written and oral communication skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in operational support of mission critical IT systems.
Candidate must have the following:
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GITLAB, Groovy Scripting & Docker.
- Experience with workload automation, UNIX and Shell Scripting.
- Experience in IT operations support.
- Experience handling application servers and databases.
- Experience with implementing deployment script for DevSecOps pipelines.
- Willingness to provide on-call support as required.
- Familiarity with Java, Springboot, PL/SQL and SQL skills is a plus.
