SAP Funds & Grants Management Technical Lead

Our client in Washington, DC is seeking a SAP Funds & Grants Management Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and support of SAP FM/GM solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This senior-level role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Funds Management and Grants Management across ECC and S/4HANA platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in SAP integrations, custom development, full lifecycle implementations, and hands-on experience supporting finance-related business processes. Strong communication, problem-solving, and client collaboration skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and support of SAP Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM) solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP FM/GM technical architecture, integrations, and enhancements.
• Manage full lifecycle SAP FM/GM implementations from Blueprint to Deployment and Hypercare.
• Develop custom enhancements including User Exits, BADIs, Proxy Development, and LSMW.
• Support data migration activities, interfaces, and SAP PI/PO integrations.
• Ensure effective change management and release management for SAP developments.
• Collaborate with finance, grants, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Assist with S/4HANA migrations and provide technical leadership on custom code adaptations.
• Troubleshoot complex SAP issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Maintain strong knowledge of financial systems integrations (FI, CO, PS modules) and batch processing using Redwood.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
