Senior Product Manager for Walmart Marketplace

As a Senior Product Manager for Walmart Marketplace, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the development of our enforcement platform. This role requires a dynamic product manager who can seamlessly collaborate across business, engineering, design, research, and analytics teams to build and enhance a robust catalog of controls designed to balance risk management with marketplace growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead and coordinate efforts with diverse teams, including business stakeholders, engineering, design, research, and analytics, to develop and implement enforcement solutions that support the marketplaces strategic objectives.
• Enforcement Platform Development: Spearhead the creation and optimization of the enforcement platform, ensuring it effectively addresses and mitigates risks while promoting sustainable growth within the marketplace.
• Control Catalog Management: Build and maintain a comprehensive catalog of controls that empower the business to take decisive actions against bad actors and policy violators, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the marketplace.
• Capability Development: Drive the development of enforcement capabilities that enhance the businesss ability to identify, assess, and act against non-compliant behavior and policy breaches.
• Strategic Risk Management: Balance risk mitigation strategies with growth objectives by designing and implementing solutions that prevent and address issues without stifling marketplace expansion.
• Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics and research to inform decision-making, measure the effectiveness of enforcement measures, and continuously refine and improve enforcement strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to align on priorities, manage expectations, and ensure the successful execution of enforcement initiatives.

Qualification:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on enforcements within a marketplace or similar environment.
• Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing platform capabilities and controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing stakeholder relationships and driving alignment.
• Experience with marketplace dynamics, risk management, or policy enforcement is highly desirable.
• Moving fast within our agile and iterative team environment.

• Role will be in office full time in Sunnyvale (640W California Ave). In office requirements can be flexible based on needs, but the contractor should expect to be in office 100% as a baseline.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Drive the end-to-end product implementation process for the defined initiatives.
• Proactively communicate identify risk and mitigation with cross functional stakeholder seek
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define feature enhancements/iterations.
• Participate in product strategy discussion and contribute to roadmap development.
• Coordinating post-launch activities to validate that the new features work as designed, collect performance metrics and customer feedback.

What is the makeup of the team?

• Team comprised of four product manager and the role is scoped for Senior Product Manager and will report to Senior Manager, Product Management.
