Description

Multi-Site Director Physical Therapist

The Multi-Site Director Physical Therapist is responsible for the operational, financial, and clinical success of multiple physical therapy clinics within a designated region. This role requires a dynamic leader who can split their focus between strategic business development, financial oversight (P&L management), talent acquisition, and maintaining high standards of evidence-based clinical care. The ideal candidate will inspire clinic managers, optimize operational efficiency, and drive patient-centric growth across all locations. This position requires hands-on patient care 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational & Financial Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all assigned regional clinics. Maximize profitability by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) including patient volume, arrival rates, units per visit, and net revenue per visit.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing Clinic Directors, Physical Therapists, and support staff. Provide ongoing clinical mentorship and leadership training to foster a collaborative culture.
  • Strategic Growth & Marketing: Partner with business development and local marketing teams to build strong referral networks with physicians, local businesses, and community organizations.
  • Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all facilities maintain strict compliance with state practice acts, HIPAA, Medicare guidelines, and company documentation standards. Implement quality assurance programs to guarantee top-tier clinical outcomes.
  • Patient Experience: Maintain an exceptional standard of customer service across all clinics, actively addressing patient feedback and implementing strategies to optimize the patient care journey from intake to discharge.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred).
  • Licensure: Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical physical therapy experience.
  • Minimum of 23 years of successful outpatient clinic management or multi-site leadership experience.
  • Skills:
  • Proven track record of managing a Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and data-driven operational platforms.
