Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: A Medical-Surgical Nurse is needed in Iowa City, Iowa, on the night shift on a Medical-Surgical Oncology Unit. The role involves caring for adult patients requiring acute oncology care, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and complex care and monitoring. Candidates are expected to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. Job Details: Location: Iowa City, IA Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor Shift Time: Nights Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Chemo Certification Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, Chemo certification required; 1 year of experience in oncology or Medical-Surgical setting preferred. Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Additional Information: The unit specializes in adult medical and surgical oncology care, including post-operative surgeries such as thyroidectomies, gastrectomies, adrenalectomies, splenectomies, liver and bowel resections, melanoma excisions, and Whipple procedures.
