OverviewKimley- Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Sr. Low Voltage Technology Design Leader to expand our MEP practice in Orange, CA and throughout Southern California!ResponsibilitiesLead and execute designs for Technology systems (Telecommunication rooms, structured Cabling systems, and Pathways infrastructure); Nurse Call, Infant Protection, Electronic Safety and Security Systems (Video Surveillance and Access Control); and Audiovisual Systems.Develop and evaluate low voltage system Technology System concepts and options to determine best design and engineering solution for each project based upon project scope.Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of low voltage and telecommunications systems.Develop detailed design drawings, develop design narratives and CSI specifications for bidding and construction.Actively interface and coordinate with external clients, architects, consultants, and construction partners.Perform construction administration services.Assist team in achieving project budget and management of resources.Provide mentorship for other engineers and designers within the organization.QualificationsAssociates in Applied Science in Engineering Technology or similar education.
