Associate Worship PastorPurposeThe Associate Worship Pastor exists to help lead the people of Hopewell Baptist Church into genuine, Christ-exulting worship. Partnering closely with the Worship Pastor, this role supports and strengthens every aspect of the worship ministry—Sunday gatherings, rehearsals, special events, and the ongoing discipling and development of volunteer musicians and team members across a wide range of abilities.This position plays a vital part in creating Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship experiences where our church family can encounter God, lift their voices together, and grow in devotion to Jesus. Through musical leadership, administrative support, and relational investment, the Associate Worship Pastor helps advance our mission of “Leading People to Follow Christ.”Job Skills & RequirementsA committed Christian and regular participant at Hopewell Baptist ChurchMusical training and proficiencyProficiency with worship ministry software is advantageous but not strictly required for qualified candidatesAbility to work Sunday-Thursday with a minimum of 40 hours per weekExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to multitask and manage deadlinesAbility to work as a team member and lead teamsBachelor of Arts in music/worship preferred3-5 years leading worship experienceWorship Leadership & RehearsalsLead rehearsals for Praise Team and Band each Wednesday nightLead Sunday worship servicesProvide piano accompaniment for rehearsals, worship services, funerals, and other requested eventsRelational Ministry & Team CareProvide pastoral support and relational investment in worship volunteersFoster a Christ-centered culture of encouragement, unity, and spiritual growthBe available and attentive to volunteers' personal and spiritual well-beingModel Christ-like leadership through prayer, Scripture, and relationship-buildingCreate an environment where volunteers feel valued and equippedPlanning Center ManagementMaintain Planning Center ServicesSchedule band and vocal teamsPrepare weekly orders of serviceAdd media, charts, and audio filesMonitor and encourage participationMedia & Production PreparationBuild ProPresenter filesCoordinate multitrack preparation with Audio DirectorMaintain music flow chart and secure assetsCreate, arrange, and edit music chartsAdministration & CommunicationCommunicate with ministry teams via email, phone, and social mediaUpdate weekly rehearsal announcementsPlace orders for music and suppliesMaintain digital music libraryMaintain copyright licenses including CCLI reportingAdditional DutiesCarry out additional duties as required, understanding that this description is not exhaustive and ministry needs may evolveSUBMIT RESUME#J-18808-Ljbffr
