Overview Senior Radiology Technologist – Dignity Health, Woodland, CA.Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in 1993, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada. Mercy Imaging Centers, a service of the Foundation, provides cutting‑edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas. The team of 160 staff members works with specialty trained and board‑certified radiologists to perform more than 175,000 exams annually, delivering high‑quality imaging, compassionate care, and timely service.Responsibilities Under the direction of the Medical Director, perform imaging procedures in various modalities in accordance with department protocols, following ALARA and established radiation safety practices.Perform all appropriate imaging procedures according to department protocol.Assist radiologist during procedures.Maintain knowledge of Digital Mammography (for mammography techs).Retrieve patient information from the computer system and send to, then retrieve, exams from PACS.Process films and maintain the darkroom in serviceable condition.Identify mechanical, electrical, and safety problems and report them to the immediate supervisor.Troubleshoot equipment problems and assist with their resolution.Use proper telephone etiquette.Provide training and support for Yuba College Radiation students.Candidate will be required to perform mammography and x‑ray.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Combination of education, experience, and interpersonal skills covering: Anatomy and physiology for medical imaging, medical terminology related to imaging, principles of operation and care of x‑ray machines and accessories, current diagnostic radiologic procedures, radiation safety requirements for operator, patient, and public, film processing systems, mechanical and electrical safety practices in the patient examination environment, and use and hazards of diagnostic contrast materials.Must have a current Radiologic Technology license from the State of California (CRT) and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Mammography technologists must possess a CRT in Mammography.Ability to perform general and specialized imaging procedures in at least three of the following modalities: Diagnostic RadiologyUltrasoundCTMRINoninvasive Vascular ProceduresAngiography/Special ProceduresMammographyClinical InstructorDEXA and/or other modalities as determined by the Manager of Imaging ServicesTreat patients, visitors, and staff with courtesy and tact; maintain confidentiality of patient records and information; work effectively under stress and adjust priorities as circumstances require; organize work assignments and maintain accurate and complete records; maintain a high degree of accuracy in procedural detail record‑keeping; work independently on‑call completing all required clerical and technical functions.Willing to work in any of the Imaging Services modalities and/or locations where appropriately qualified.Preferred Qualifications A California fluoroscopy permit is preferred.ARRT certification preferred.Experience performing CT or other modality is preferred.Candidate will be required to perform mammography and x‑ray.This position is represented by ESC.Pay Range $60.08 – $69.63 per hourEEO Statement We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
