Research Analyst Associate / UAS PilotSeize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Research Analyst Associate /UAS Pilot supporting the FAA's Airport Research Division. You will be part of the team assessing different concepts and approaches to using UAS platforms to improve the safety and effectiveness of Airport Operations. Our work depends on Research Analyst Associate joining our team.HOW A RESEARCH ANALYST ASSOCIATE / UAS PILOT WILL MAKE AN IMPACTProvides expertise in the operation of unmanned aircraft. Develop flight test plans and procedures. Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations. Plans and performs a wide range of in-process and final testing of analog, digital, microwave, optical and mechanical systems, and equipment under ambient and environmental conditions. Technical knowledge and experience with UAS operations to facilitate their integration safely and efficiently into the NAS. This effort requires collaboration with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, which includes manufacturers, commercial vendors, industry trade associations, technical standards organizations, academic institutions, research and development centers, governmental agencies, and other regulators. Ultimately, technical knowledge and experience to support UAS integration into the NAS without reducing existing capacity, decreasing safety, negatively impacting current operators, or increasing the risk to airspace users or persons and property on the ground any more than the integration of comparable new and novel technologies.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: Not RequiresRequired Experience: Must be Part 107 Certified and have 40 (the minimum is 20 hours)-plus documented hours of safely operating UAS platforms.Security Clearance Level: FAA Suitability BackgroundRequired Skills and Abilities: Part 107 Certified.Preferred Skills: Experience using flight planning softwarePreferred: Bachelor's Degree in any field.Location: On-site at the William J Hughes Technical Center at the Atlantic City AirportGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#J-18808-Ljbffr
