If you are a Field Service Engineer/Professional looking for an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!Based in the Southwest Regional Office in Houston, TX , as a Field Service Engineer (Ovation Advantage) , you will be part of a team of customer support engineers responsible for diagnosing and resolving engineering challenges related to the installation, startup, and operation of moderately complex distributed control systems (DCS), subsystems, and specialized control equipment at customer sites.At Emerson Power & Water Solutions, we help customers in the world's most crucial industries tackle the challenges of modern life. As an industry-leading controls automation company, we drive innovation that makes the world healthier, safer, smarter, and more sustainable.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Manage and coordinate field service projects, including planning and scheduling activities to meet customer and project needsLead technical and project meetings, documenting outcomes clearlyDesign, review, implement, and test control systems for power and water applicationsDevelop and maintain control system databases, logic, and operator interfacesSupport installation, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sitesProvide technical guidance and engineering support to customers and internal teamsConduct site walkdowns and develop cost estimates for retrofit engineering and installation projectsDevelop technical specifications and coordinate with third‑party vendorsEvaluate contractor bids for installation workBuild and sustain strong, trust‑based customer relationships through clear and professional verbal and written communication skillsFor This Role, You Will Need:Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, related STEM degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years of related experienceUnderstanding basic networking and computer assembly/troubleshooting experienceStrong communication skillsBe able to travel up to 50-75% of the time.
