Senior Project Engineer Job Location: Sacramento, CA 95828Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $30.53 - $46.25 hourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Shift: DayThe Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all electrical submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, Work Breakdown Structure, and Material Kits for multiple projects. The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively in a multi‑faceted and extremely fast‑paced team environment.Key Responsibilities Respond to internal customer needs and resolve their issues in a timely mannerWork closely with external customers, Project Engineer and/or Assistant Project ManagersSchedule and participate in project meetings (start‑up, weekly, close‑out)Take notes and capture action items during project meetingsPrepare, maintain, and process RFI's, submittals and close‑out documentsCreate and maintain Project Logs (Change Requests, Submittals, RFIs) – send weekly updates to customer for discussionAssist Project Managers and Project Executives in project dutiesProcess material, rental equipment and tool ordersPerform material takeoffs, with assistance, for Change Orders Request processingPrepare and coordinate delivery of site mobilization documentationInput and manage project scheduling functions, WBS and SIS, 10-5-2-1Collaborate with CI for material kit deliveries and backordersMaintain construction documents in Plan Grid and distribute to internal/external partiesPerform all duties as outlined on the published Roles and Responsibilities MatrixTrain/mentor and develop lower‑level Project EngineersAbility to manage smaller scale projects ($500K or less) with supervisionPromote the company Vision, Mission, Purpose and Values at all timesQualifications Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Engineer/Assistant Project ManagerKnowledge of electrical systems and their componentsRead and understand electrical drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and organization skills, detail oriented and a team playerExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Physical Requirements Verbal communication: convey detailed and accurate instructions and informationHearing with or without correction to receive and interpret detailed informationRequired to sit at a desk workstation for long periods of timePush, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 poundsFrequently required to walk and stand; may involve infrequent site visits requiring movement on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and wearing personal protective equipmentVisual acuity with or without correction to read contract documents, analyze data, view a computer monitor, and proof‑read documents to identify errorsUse fingers and hands to type using a computer keyboard, handle, feel, and reachMay occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouchBenefits Health Benefits401(k) with Company MatchLife and Disability BenefitsPaid Holidays & Paid time offAccess to multiple types of trainingOpportunities for Self‑development and Career ProgressionWellness Benefits & Employee Assistance ProgramFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Tuition Reimbursement ProgramApprenticeship ProgramOther Information Work environment: Senior Project Engineers typically work in an office environment, occasionally visiting worksites to observe a project or meet with clients.Reporting Structure: Reports to – Project Executive / Area Manager; Department – Construction Services.Position Location: Sacramento, CA.EOE.#J-18808-Ljbffr
