Rhinebeck Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to drive business growth while delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you'll develop strong relationships with commercial clients and community partners, manage a diverse loan portfolio, and represent the bank with the highest level of professionalism. You'll play a key role in expanding both our commercial loan and mortgage portfolios and in achieving strategic sales goals.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with centers of influence to increase referrals and promote bank servicesManage a portfolio of complex commercial clients through proactive contact and cross-selling of bank productsScreen and structure loan requests to protect the bank's interests, ensuring compliance with policies and sound credit judgmentPrepare detailed loan presentations analyzing creditworthiness, cash flow, collateral, debt service, and borrower characterStay well-versed in Rhinebeck Bank's subsidiaries, products, industry trends, and competitive offeringsUse RB Connect CRM to manage pipelines, track activities, and maintain visibility on sales performanceDeliver high-touch customer service to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues efficiently, and support long-term client retentionContribute to the development of new tools, products, and marketing strategiesComplete regular reporting using Sageworks LOS and RB Connect systems, including Commercial Top Ten Reports and Pre‑Pipeline updatesContinuously monitor personal skill development and industry trends to stay ahead of market changesRepresent Rhinebeck Bank at community events to support visibility and uphold our brand reputationQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field5–10 years of commercial lending experienceValid driver's license (local travel required)What We Offer:Competitive Pay – $110,000 to $145,000 annually, based on experienceTime Off – 20 days of paid time off to support work‑life balanceRetirement & Equity – Generous 401(k) matchTraining & Development – Onboarding with classroom, webinar, and hands‑on learningMentorship – Supportive environment with experienced professionals to help you growCommunity Involvement – Paid volunteer hours to give back to local causesWhy Choose Rhinebeck Bank?Since 1860, Rhinebeck Bank has been a trusted and community‑focused financial institution in the Hudson Valley.
