Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer with their PE and a strong background with Industrial projects from a consulting perspective. This position performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of equipment, systems, or processes. Specifications are prepared, and necessary subcontracts and requisitions are defined. The candidate has thorough knowledge of own subject area or discipline and basic knowledge of others. He/she understands the objectives of the area and related regulatory and/or industry requirements and practices. Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a teamenvironment on multiple projects.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesIndependently evaluates, selects and applies engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to concurrent engineering projects.Applies engineering judgment in making adaptations and modifications to projects.Experience delivering projects utilizing AutoCAD and RevitJob functions will include: significant design and design review responsibilities, engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations and direction of lower level engineers and/or designersInteracts with Project Managers and other engineersDirects project workflow of engineers, designers and drafters to ensure project completionResponsible for the technical content and quality of the work, and the functional integration of individual project tasksSelects and applies engineering principles and concepts in field of specialization with advanced working knowledge of other related disciplinesPerforms tasks with minimal supervisionFrequently interacts with clients, vendors, and contractorsResponsible for serving as discipline lead engineer and effectively communicating discipline specific information to appropriate team membersManages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks, and works with Discipline Manager and Project Manager to develop contingency plansDemonstrates advanced ability to work with various engineering software packages in standalone or network configurationsPossesses advanced technical skills and understanding of interdisciplinary design processesAbility to organize and prioritize workload for self and othersExperience with a focus on medium and low voltage power systemsExperience in design and installation of electrical equipment in heavy industrial and chemical plant environmentsExperience with Transformer & Generator Sizing / SpecificationsKnowledge of NEC and API recommended PracticesKnowledge of grounding practicesKnowledge of Hazardous Area Classification and Best PracticesRequiredBachelor's of science in Electrical EngineeringPE10 plus years of experience from a consulting perspective in industrial or chemical experience.Proven ability to lead projects.#J-18808-Ljbffr
