US Citizenship Required. 100% on-site. The Company Modeling & Simulation team is currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team in Hazelwood, MO. As a Systems Engineer in this organization, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop and implement systems engineering processes and tools for current and future development and production programs. These activities provide a technical foundation for digital sustainment and decision support for our internal and external customers. The position offers exposure to the entire development life cycle of our products with an emphasis on operations and support. This position will entail working on a team which develops our model-based sustainment simulation capability, which enables our customers to define and execute supportability trade studies based on the latest fleet performance data, experiment and test the results of anticipated events and choice of responses and make better informed decisions while fully supported with visibility to the options available to them. This capability employs an agile development methodology consistent with the Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and is adaptable to rapidly respond to customer needs. The systems engineering processes will focus on functional, logical, and operational architectures; requirements development and management; logistics and supply chain network, lifecycle cost and mission analyses. Frequent engagements with other program leaders and subject matter experts is expected and offers broad visibility to diverse programs across Company. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of our future government services programs. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and work well with cross‑functional teams including software and data science. The ability to maintain and develop plans/schedules and to monitor and report schedule performance is required. Good oral and written communication are essential to success in this position. Background in one or more of the following areas is preferred but not required: logistics support, modeling and simulation analysis (logistics, operations, cost), software development, integration and test, data science and simulation animation.Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop, document, and verify customer requirements to outline stakeholder scenarios for analysisAssess operational availability, mission effectiveness, cost for baseline, adverse part reliability, and mitigation scenarios to transform stakeholder scenarios into trade study requests using pre‑configured templatesSupport the selection, configuration, and implementation of appropriate analysis models to align with outlined stakeholder requirementsProduce meaningful analysis through evaluation of sustainment strategies to improve fleet performance by integrating models for supply chain and logistics, mission operations, and life‑cycle costCoordinate with the customer and present trade‑study analysis results at customer engagements in the Virtual Sustainment Center (VSC) using a standard suite of analysis dashboardsSupport modification of simulation models and trade study definitions to address different scenarios and decision support questionsSupport model optimization tasks and release testing to incorporate capability enhancements into modeling suiteSupport the development and maintenance of product roadmaps and system lifecycle plansDocument team plans and status, develop meeting agendas and presentationsRequirementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer scienceOperations and logistics modeling experienceSimulation analysis experience specifically covering both discrete event simulations and trade study models3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)3+ years' experience building stakeholder and customer relationshipsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)Agile development experienceExcellent oral and verbal communication skillsExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Logistics modeling and supply chain modeling experienceFamiliarity with modeling tools such as AFSIM, LSAS, OPUS and/or SIMLOXSoftware development, integration and test, data science and simulation animation experienceAbbreviated degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classificationBenefitsComprehensive healthcare coveragePaid time offRetirement savings plans#J-18808-Ljbffr
