Description
This position would be specific to our construction projects (although depending on circumstances would do other things as well). They would have a minimum of 25% travel - to our construction sites. Which could increase or decrease some depending on when sites begin construction.This person would need to travel to each site at least once per month to evaluate what materials have been received vs invoiced. They could schedule the travel as one week per month, hitting all sites, or one day per week hitting a site at a time. The remaining time is hybrid 3 days in the office in Concord.Key responsibilitiesAnalyze project costs validating goods received vs invoicedCalculate revenue recognition by project using percentage of completion methodPerform balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis, and ensure reporting accuracySupport the period end close processServe as key liaison between construction project managers, field operations and accountingUtilize Excel and NetSuite for analysis and reportingRequired qualification3+ years of construction accounting experience3+ years of experience calculating revenue recognition specifically utilizing percentage of completionAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, sum ifs, reporting models)Ability to work independently and execute projects with minimal supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with auditors and internal stakeholdersMust be able to travel 25%Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week on the Charlotte-Concord office when not travelingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredPreferred qualifications (Plus, but not required)Experience with NetSuite within the past 12 monthsCPA/CMA certificationAdvanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields#J-18808-Ljbffr
