Job Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for moderate to complex accounting activities and ensuring the integrity of the financial information by recording, analyzing, verifying, and approving transactions for the United States entities. The role includes selective internal and external financial reporting and support, interaction with plant controllers, external auditors, corporate consolidations, financial planning, and analysis, as well as operational teams. The Senior Accountant manages assigned projects and oversees the completion of cross‑functional and cross‑site activities. This particular position focuses on revenue accounting for the Med Tech Business and requires knowledge of IFRS15.*This position requires working onsite in LakeZurich, IL 3 days per week; remaining days may be worked remotely.*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship either now or in the future.Salary Range: $90,000–109,000Eligible for an annual bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salaryFinal pay determinations will depend on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilitiesBenefits include a 401(k) plan with company contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, employee assistance program, health, dental, vision, medical prescription coverage, and a wellness programResponsibilities Analyze and ensure assigned accounts are reconciled in accordance with the monthly close schedule and department guidelinesIdentify discrepancies, errors, and omissions and lead efforts for timely resolutionPrepare schedules and analysis to support rebate reservesReview contracts with customers and ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with IFRS15Prepare monthly journal entriesReview and update assumptions used in significant estimates and accruals, prepare related journal entries and general ledger reconciliationsMaintain, update, and ensure compliance with internal controls and account month‑end close proceduresMaintain knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS requirements, and other relevant accounting regulationsAnalyze new transactions and advise colleagues on proper accounting treatment and reporting as neededPrepare moderate and complex quarterly and annual reporting schedules to support legal and management reporting requirements, following up with reporting unit controllers as questions ariseProvide assistance to reporting units in correcting errors and resolving issuesPrepare schedules for year‑end and quarterly audits, interact with audit team to resolve open items and address audit concernsAssist with internal controls and cross‑train as backup for other Senior Accountants within the departmentLead and support special projectsQualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA is a plusCPA preferred5+ years of related work experienceExperience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred)Strong Microsoft Excel skillsBenefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) with company contribution, and wellness program.
