Location: On-site, Orangeburg, South Carolina, United StatesTravel: up to 10% of timeRole SummaryReporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, the EHS Coordinator secures the health and safety of plant employees, the surrounding community, and the environment. This role drives strict compliance with federal/state regulations and corporate EHS standards while fostering a robust culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will coordinate plant personnel and external contractors, and collaborate cross‑functionally to optimize site safety, efficiency, and team performance.ResponsibilitiesBudget Management: Formulate and assist in managing the EHS operational budgets, tracking allocations for Safety Programs, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), medical supplies, medical surveillance testing, waste removal, and environmental services.Program Ownership: Oversee site‑wide environmental and occupational health programs, including hazardous/solid waste management, wastewater/stormwater protocols, first responder networks, forklift safety, industrial hygiene, and medical monitoring.Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Conduct thorough Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), proactively identifying workplace risks and provisioning appropriate PPE to eliminate or mitigate operational hazards.Incident Lifecycle & Reporting: Own the documentation and tracking of facility incidents utilizing the SAP Incident Management System; synthesize data to complete mandatory corporate EHS reports.Audits & Continuous Improvement (CI): Lead internal and external EHS compliance audits.
