We believe in high touch, deep impact engagements that generate meaningful and tangible results of quality that surprise clients and leads to a robust referral pipeline.Founded in 2019, we currently have twenty five ongoing nonprofit clients, have provided excellent service to close to one hundred organizations since inception, and continue to grow.About The PositionAs Senior Accountant, you'll provide advanced accounting support for multiple accounts. You will handle complex accounting processes, lead month‑end close, support financial reporting and analysis, and serve as a resource to both clients and internal staff.This position bridges the gap between Accountant and Controller, providing advanced accounting oversight without the broader advisory and forecasting duties of the Controller role.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting – keep a clean general ledger for our clients, with timely and accurate journal entries, AP, AR, bank and credit card transactions.Monthly Close – ensure that books are accurate, complete, and reconciled each month.Report Building – using excel wizardry, build custom workbooks and financial reconciliations to solve problems and answer questions.Support for Accountant Team – act as a resource for junior accounting members of our team and on‑site client accountants, reinforcing technical best‑practices and company policies.Mission Minded – with an understanding of what really matters to our clients, make decisions that prioritize mission returns and programmatic impact.Customer Service – become a trusted, valued, and liked member of client management teams.Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred.QuickBooks native.Strong understanding of GAAP.Customer service focused with great communication, both internally and with our clients.Ability to simultaneously self‑manage multiple priorities and overlapping deadlines.Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.Personal drive to make a meaningful difference in your community.This position offers an accelerated growth track into a Controller or Financial Manager role by offering tons of hands‑on experience in real‑world situations with multiple clients and one‑on‑one career development that will support professional growth in multiples versus what you would see a traditional nonprofit job.Work / Life BalanceRemote first, with a flexible 35/hours per week and unlimited vacation.Equal Opportunity StatementWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
