As a Construction Supervisor at Spectrum, you'll coordinate both new builds and maintenance efforts, manage a dedicated team and facilitate ongoing project success. Your expertise will drive the performance and development of your team, positively impacting our construction operations.How You'll Make an ImpactCoordinate construction projects using in-house and contract labor for new builds, maintenance and rebuildsCollaborate with engineers and developers to design plant layouts, sketch equipment placements and prepare materials listsMonitor contractor performance, ensuring compliance with agreements and industry standardsConduct site inspections to uphold quality control for all labor teamsReconcile invoices against work completed in the field and review damage claimsManage permitting and make-ready processes, keeping project progress on trackFoster positive employee relations on your team through effective supportWorking ConditionsWork in both office and field settings, including confined spaces and at varying heightsExposure to dust, dirt, noise and weather conditions during day or nightFrequent travel requiredWhat You'll Bring to SpectrumRequired QualificationsEducationAssociates degree in electronics, related field or equivalentIndustry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/EExperience3+ years of construction work experienceSkillsLeadership and supervisory skills, including motivating others and maintaining confidentialityAbility to work independently, effective prioritization and organization skillsProficiency with personal computers and software including Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of Spectrum/ telecommunications products and servicesSkilled use of hand tools, electric drills, ladders, gaffs and safety harnessesAccurate measurement using tapes and devicesAbility to climb poles and operate extension ladders up to 32 feet and 90 poundsRecognition of wire sizes and colorsCable connections in tight spaces and operation of relevant test equipmentAbility to perform work at heights and stand for extended periodsHandling small components to make cable connectionsUse of handheld communication devices and applicationsAbility to dig in different soil typesReading complex system layouts from blueprintsKnowledge of mathematics, electronics, National Electric Code and National Electrical Safety CodeOtherValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record meeting Spectrum standardsSafe operation of Spectrum vehicles and machinery for cable installationPreferred QualificationsExperience1+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceA qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.Spectrum is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including job seekers with disabilities and veterans.#J-18808-Ljbffr
