The 365‑bed facility is one of the largest free‑standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37‑acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside's comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders including alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.Job DescriptionThe Therapist provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention, and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.OpportunitiesUHS is a challenging and rewarding work environmentGrowth and development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiariesCompetitive CompensationQualificationsJob RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.Education : Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required, licensure preferred.Experience : Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.Licensure/Certification : TN LCSW, LPC, LP preferred.Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age‑specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.Supervision Received : Director of Social Services, Program Directors, Program Coordinators.EEO StatementAll UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
